Adrienne Randall, M.A. Resident In Counseling

  • Adrienne Randall holds a Master's Degree in clinical mental health counseling from the University of the Cumberlands and a Bachleor’s Degree in psychology, from George Mason University.

  • Inspired by her time working as an intern at a Virginia state psychiatric hospital, Ms. Randall has built a career around advocating for the mental health needs of diverse populations, including children and adults who have struggled with serious mental illness, including those who have been diagnosed with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities or personality disorders.

Through her experience in office, telehealth, and community-based settings, Ms. Randall has worked and with a variety of community stakeholders, such as parents, families, physicians, law enforcement, schools, local Community Service Boards, Virginia’s Office of Human Rights, Virginia’s Office of Licensing, and the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Services.

  • Ms. Randall’s personal counseling philosophy is rooted in a belief that the challenges we experience stem from hurts that have accumulated over the years. Pain is part of the human condition and cannot be avoided. Experiencing pain, however, does not mean that one must suffer. Change occurs through making the brave choice to lean into the pain and face it head on.

Ms. Randall incorporates trauma-informed care with an integrative approach based on each client’s need and presenting issues. She also places emphasis on a body-centered perspective, providing a safe and trusting space where emotions may be experienced. Her mission is to dedicate herself to helping others reach their full potential, to feel fulfilled and to live their best lives. She wants to prepare individuals with the tools they need to live a life with less suffering.
